A bit of inspiration.
Baguiao city is where Pacquiao trains before heading to L.A for upcoming title fights. The city is at an altitude of approximately 1500 meters and is roughly 8 degrees celsius lower compared to the average temperature for the rest of the country. The climate is very similar to here in Auckland, but there air is a lot thinner and more crisp. The road to get to Baguiao City is incredibly steep, winding, and narrow, which makes it an amazing feat to run. Such a beautiful city.

This morning was the first run after having over 3 months off of doing completely nothing. Feels good to get out again on my usual regular Sunday morning route. Unfortunately I couldn’t use my Nike+ band to map my speed and calories lost, as I had forgotten to charge it beforehand, Ah well.
The main reason why I like running Sunday mornings is not only because its my day off work, but I alway tend to run at my own pace, and my own time. During the week I struggle with time, and my runs tend to be very sluggish and rushed. This morning I ventured out to spend at least an hour on the pavement at 10:00 am, and arrived home a few minutes after 11:00 am.
It was kind of a last minute decision to go for a run today, but I’m glad I made the decision. The weather is beautiful in Auckland city, lets hope it stays this way for the rest of the day, and hopefully the week.
